Micro-credentials in Higher Education: From strategy to implementation
How can higher education institutions make use of micro-credentials? The event focusses on the strategic dimension of these small learning offers and provides a forum for discussions and the presentation of practice examples.
The 2022 Recommendation on a European approach to micro-credentials for lifelong learning and employability aims to facilitate the development, implementation and recognition of micro-credentials within and across institutions. The event provides a forum for higher education representatives and other stakeholders to address the question, what higher education institutions can do to give substance to the Council Recommendation. It offers insights from latest developments around micro-credentials on the European level and it provides a platform to present some practice examples of how German HEI have implemented these small learning units along degree programmes, in continuing education and in their internationalisation efforts.
