Higher Education Institutions of Art, Design and Music as future "European Universities"? Innovative cooperation formats and thematic bridges
What is a Transnational Cooperation Activity (TCA):
Transnational Cooperation Activities (TCA) encompasses a range of events, which enable Erasmus+ National Agencies (NA) and Higher Education Institutions (HEI) to collaborate and share best practice across Europe. The overall aim of the activities is to improve the quality and impact of the Erasmus+ programme at a systemic level. Each event is planned and organised by one or more NAs from the 34 programme countries. The events take place in form of contact seminars (for preparing Erasmus+ project applications), training seminars (for improving project implementation), thematic conference (for raising awareness of the added value of Erasmus+ projects), study visits (for gathering European organizations, schools, stakeholders to upgrade knowledge) or evidence-based analysis (for analysing the impact of Erasmus+).
Once a TCA is announced, interested persons are either invited to participate by their NA or might express their interest to do so at their NA.
The selection of participants will be made by the NA.
Content of the TCA:
The TCA on "Higher Education Institutions of Art, Design and Music as future "European Universities"? Innovative cooperation formats and thematic bridges" is hosted by the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf.
The TCA event's focus will be twofold: The event mainly aims at the project of European Universities ("Bringing together a new generation of creative Europeans, who are able to cooperate in different languages, across borders and disciplines, to address the big societal challenges and skills shortages that Europe faces."), so firstly, to identify the potential of the recent European Universities Initiative for the strategic development of Higher Education Institutions in the field of arts and creation.
Secondly, to discuss innovative approaches to study and research as well as the institution's role in their regions and for an enhanced inclusiveness.
The conference aims at finding out, what the specific European nature of creative and artistic art schools in Europe could look like and how it could be translated into structured networks.
