At this networking event, higher education representatives from Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo will explore funding opportunities, develop project ideas and tackle mobility challenges to strengthen Erasmus+ cooperation in the region.

- Representatives from the Higher Education sector – current beneficiaries as well as newcomers to the Erasmus+ Programme; stakeholders; anyone interested in Erasmus+ project applications
- Objective
- Strengthen higher education cooperation between Programme countries and the Western Balkans within Erasmus+. Develop concrete project ideas for future Erasmus+ applications (KA1, KA2/CBHE, Erasmus Mundus, Jean Monnet). Support candidate countries’ access to and participation in the Erasmus+ programme, Exchange best practices and define joint strategies for sustainable partnerships. Address key challenges in mobility, recognition and the impact of educational cooperation.
The Erasmus+ networking event “Western Balkans in the focus: Promoting and deepening cooperations in the Erasmus+ programme” in Podgorica brings together higher education representatives from Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo. Through presentations, thematic workshops and site visits, participants will explore Erasmus+ funding opportunities, develop concrete project ideas and discuss solutions to mobility and cooperation challenges in the European Higher Education Area.
The Erasmus+ networking event consists of two components:
13 October 2026: Site visits to higher education institutions in Montenegro (for participants from Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland only)
14-15 October 2026: Conference (for all participants)
