Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping industry at an unprecedented pace. Higher Education Institutions play a multifaceted role in educating graduates — but how are they addressing the evolving demands of the labour market, particularly in the area of AI skills?

This event offers a platform for open dialogue between academia and business, bringing together stakeholders to exchange perspectives, align expectations, and identify future skill requirements.

Students, educators and business representatives alike are invited to explore the evolving conversation on the role of AI in shaping the future of education and employment.

Background

In the framework of the Asia-Europe Meeting’s (ASEM) education process, the DAAD coordinates the Expert Group on Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space.
Further information on the work of the ASEM EG Digitalisation and AI can be found here.
As part of a continuous online event series on Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education, the Expert Group on Digitalisation and AI, in cooperation with the ASEM Education Secretariat (AES), has already organised the following public Online Seminars:

2023: “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Learning & Teaching in Higher Education”

2024: “Best Practices on the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education”

This series aims to explore the evolving role of AI in higher education, share good practices and foster dialogue among ASEM partners.
